These Terms govern your use of Ascend (the "Service"), operated by Life level up ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Ascend is a gamified self-improvement app that lets you track habits, quests, focus sessions, and chat with an AI coach. Premium plans unlock additional features.

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for activity on your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

We own the Service, its software, branding, and content (other than user-submitted content). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your chosen plan. No reverse engineering, resale, or redistribution.

5. AI features

Ascend includes generative AI features. You're responsible for your prompts and how you use the outputs. Outputs may be inaccurate; do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or other regulated professional advice. Don't use the AI to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, or to attempt to jailbreak the model. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this.

6. Payments, billing & subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. See our Refund Policy.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep Ascend running, but we don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. You can stop using the Service at any time.

9. Warranties & liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is". We disclaim implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not permit it.

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use means you accept the changes.
